That's a tough group. Three of them were in the World Cup in '06.

Croatia and England are also building up a rivalry, I imagine Ukraine and Belarus is also a passionate derby.

Our(Wales) group 4 sucks; Germany and Russia so we have no chance, might beat Finland, would of prefered to be in Group 2 or to float across the ocean and play in the Americas

Of course I wish them every success in their bid to qualify but deep down I enjoy their failure. The Euros were so nice without them.

You have got a fairly difficult group, Romania are not a terrible team and Serbia are a dark horse with a lot of talent. If France do not pull their socks up then they could face an early embarrassment. Still my favourites to win the group.

A bit off-topic. Did anyone hear about the "other" World Cup? It's with teams from unrecognised states (and therefore they're not qualified to join the normal WC). For example, Tibet has a team. They're starting this weekend, I think.

I'm amazed that there are only 6 teams who play in it considering the amount of unrecognised and disputed territories in the world.

Well, since this is the thread.. Italy will be playing Cyprus and Georgia this coming week. should be two easy Wins. 1 nation i never heard of. The other has alot more to worry about than soccer.

Cyprus beat Wales 3-1 in their qualifying game (euro 08). And it had a draw against Germany just after it won the World Cup in 06. Maybe they'll give an interesting game to watch vs Italy.
