sweet, blackberry's always been up there quality wise; do you think its worth the price though? I know people like them for office use, but what about everyday use?
follow up question for everyone: what was your worst phone? colorful descriptions encouraged :P |

Are you kidding me? that things worth every penny. I will have to pay full price for the 8900 unless someone decides to take pity on me and give me a discount lol
I've always paid full prices on phones most of the time because I like having the new phones for all the gadgets I can get on them. I just paid for a slew of apps today as a matter of fact for my current BB as the appstore over at crackberry is having a 20% sale off everything. I use my BB more for personal use than for work use and adore it. I mean last night I couldn't sleep which is nothing new but I never left my bed to go surf the net like I normally would but pulled out the BB and starting surfing. I can watch movies on it, listen to my music. Just about anything. It's almost limitless. |

I've only ever had three mobile phones in my lifetime, so I'd have to say the NEC e616v. Apart from the inability to use mp3 files as ringtones, it did everything I wanted it to. And it was damn sturdy.
Worst would be my first phone (don't expect a model number, it's an old Vodaphone one). It pretty much did what was expected of it, it could make phone calls, send texts, and use WAP (aka, Wait And Pay). However, compared with the next phone I had (the aforementioned mobile phone), it was rather dated. |

so it sounds like your current phone is somewhere in between. how's that one?

It's alright, I suppose. It's a 1st generation 3 Skypephone. However, I've never used the Skype function due to a lack of contacts, so I can't comment on it. It does, however, decide to turn itself off at random moments, even when at full power. Also, the coating on the battery cover has also rubbed off, making that section slippery.

Well ultimately I only paid $50 for my current one as I got a $100 discount for new contract and $100 rebate off the phone. The 8900 I believe is $399 so unless I can get some discount off that that's what I will end up paying.
I don't think I could live without having my mp3s as my ringtones as I have them set for each person with a different song lol There really wasn't any phone I disliked more than any other as they were mostly top of the line. I never got any of the free phones. I was irritated that Sony did not have reminders when I missed calls or something but other than that it was great. |

I've only had two phones.. My Razr is/was my favorite. This ****ty virgin mobile pre-paid phone I had for my first phone was my worst phone, and probably will always be.
