I have deja vu often and the first thing I think is either "hey I dreamt about this last week" or "wait a minute that happened like 2 years ago."

I love experiencing deja vu, some of the experiences I've had stretch out to a good few minutes of "memory" of people's actions and words.
At first I thought it is actually the mind registering the situation a split second after it occured and therefore you think it already happened. But I've found it's not true in some deja vu situations when I can "recall" people doing things before they are going to do so in the current situation.

If deja vu is an insight to the future it goes to show that travelling into the very near future is possible though unpredictable.

Bored out of my mind.

Seeing this thread gave me déjà vu.

It happens less often with me nowadays. I get more "déjà dit" - like something happens that I've just thought of or said elsewhere. Freaky coincidence.

Haven't you asked this question before?

It has happened to me a few times but I can never work out what it is linked to.

I've got an idea - an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about.

I read a book called 'The Celestine Prophecy'. It was about inner energies, interactions with the outer world's energy and the causes of our minds and thoughts.

It mentions deja vu a few times [convenient isn't it?], and one of the possible arguments actually applies to me a lot.

I never have a deja vu about anything significant. It's always trivial. But without exception, a similar but not identical experience will take place in the near future [minutes to an hour]. It feels relaxing for some reason.
