I lose my shoes occasionally and I lost my sunglasses a while back and still haven't found them.

Oh yeah, a note on what I said. I don't lose things often, it's just when I do it's in a really dumb way.

Yes.

The worst thing is those little DS game cards. I lost two of them in a hotel.

I never lose anything important like my wallet, keys, or phone. Probably because I always keep them in my pockets when I go out. One of my friends takes everything out of his pockets everywhere he goes, so it's no surprise he's always losing stuff. He's lost 3 or 4 cell phones over the past couple years.

I lose those basic items, but it's usually cause my kid ran off with them. Every once in awhile it's due to me putting them somewhere I don't normally put them.

The biggest thing we've lost is my wedding ring. I went into labor a couple days before we were moving. So while I was in the hospital, my sister and mother in law were helping my husband finish packing up the house. They found my wedding ring and gave it to him to keep safe (It was with all my other jewelry, but they figured we probably didn't want it in a box somewhere). Well a couple days go by, I'm ready to check out of the hospital, and we can't find my ring anywhere. My husband remembered setting it on the counter while they were loading up the last boxes. We went back on Monday to do the final clean up of the apartment (moved out on Sat) and searched the whole thing, no one had seen it or had any idea where it was. A couple months later after writing it off completely (which sucked, cause we didn't even have insurance that would cover it), my husband opened up his gun case, and saw it around the trigger of one of his pistols. He had immediately put it away there so nothing would happen to it, but in the hustle of the crazy weekend, had completely forgotten. It was quite a relief when we finally found it.

I very rarely lose anything. Mainly because I have a place for everything and I always return it to where I got it from. My keys, cell phone and wallet are always on my desk when they're not in my pocket.

The two things I seem to misplace most often are my ID and my can of soda. It seems like every time I open a new soda I'll end up setting it down somewhere and forgetting it. Then when I'm looking around for it, I'll usually end up finding an old can of soda that I lost earlier that's all warm and gross now. A vicious cycle.

As far as my ID goes, I usually end up losing it when I'm drunk. Weird, huh? I'll get home from the bars and we'll realize that my ID is nowhere to be found. I've had to go the DMV 3 times to get new ones. The worst was when I lost it right before Oktoberfest and couldn't get into the beer garden. I did end up finding one of my old IDs, so had two for a while and thought I was set, but then I lost it again. I probably have three of them hidden in various places around the apartment, waiting to pop up at the least expected moment.

I don't lose things like that...I prefer to say that I have "misplaced" them. I don't know whether it's my age or that I'm just a bit scatty...lol
