I don't become sentimentally attached to things. I prefer to just toss something and get it out of the way.

I usually don't have a problem unless the object has some sort of value or fondness to me.

Instead of throwing it out I'll generally give it to someone else or to charity.

If it's something that is still functional I'll give it to my family to use in their yard sale. If not, I'll just toss it. I hate collecting junk and I don't see the point in hoarding crap that will never be used.

When younger I use to keep everything even the dumbest stuff. My parents both are pack-rats.
However in recent years I have taken the attitude "will I ever use this item again in the foreseeable future?" If the answer is no I usually chuck it. |

I throw things away all willy-nilly. Sometimes I regret it--like when I accidentally tossed the sleeve with my Civilization 4 serial number--but usually not. Less stuff means less clutter.

I've got a habit of trying to make things out of nothing. So when I go to throw something out I rape and pillage its parts. I keep a box of "Things that may be useful", usually items like cogs, fans, and other semi-hard to come by items. One day I may actually make something out of all of them... maybe a hovering clock or something.

I definatley wouldn't throw it away, away...as in, in the bin. We usually give stuff to charity shops, or drive them down to the recycling skip thing.
