I wasn't even alive during that fad but the fact they made millions off selling friggin' rocks makes me chuckle. The Tamagotchi fad was the one that effected me the most though. Was the first time I'd ever babysitted. |

Pokemon wasn't a fad though. The video games are still really popular, the show is still going, and I see kids playing the card game quite often. Hell, Burger King just stoppedd having pokemon kids meal toys a week or two ago (and before I could get the last three dammit)

Snick. Admit it, it was a fad that everyone had. Are you afraid of the dark stories always got to me.
Hackey sack. I had a dodgeball phase when I was about ten. We played in my back yard with a mini basketball that was hard as a rock and half deflated. |

My school went crazy for yo-yo's at one point. Everyone would try to show off their skills but apart from "walking the dog" I was useless. If I attempted "Around the world" atleast 2 kids would end up with concusions.

lol I have one of those. It never worked too well for me, though.
![]() The ones I participated in were Pokemon and Beanie Babies. My mom still buys me some sometimes, but not all of that much. They just don't seem special anymore like they did back in the day. There's too many of them. Pokemon, well... I bought Diamond a few months ago, but I'm no Pokemon fan anymore. I bought Diamond for the game it is, not because it's Pokemon. I feel really bad for the obsession I got back then. Not so much the games, but the cards. I have so many of them, and I can not even imagine how much of my parents' money went down the drain for those. Last edited by Envy; 08-14-2008 at 10:41 PM.. |
