Fads

Even our younger members have lived through their share of fads. Which ones were your favorites? Which ones, in retrospect, were really rather silly?

Silly? Pogs or devil sticks. Pokemon is by far my favorite and I still play the games today.

I don't believe I lived during the 'devil sticks' phase. Never heard of them.

Pogs were pretty stupid, as were Razor scooters.

Pants with holes in the knees, anyone?

No?

****, realizing you're poor sucks.

I remember when baggy pants became all the trend.

How about mushroom cuts. I remember when I was 10 years old every guy that I saw had one. I even saw some girls who had them as well.

I used to be a huge pogs fan back in the day, I collected them and had over 5000 of them.

That's all I can think at the moment.

"How to hit home runs: I swing as hard as I can, and I try to swing right through the ball...The harder you grip the bat, the more you can swing it through the ball, and the farther the ball will go. I swing big, with everything I've got. I hit big or I miss big. I like to live as big as I can." Babe Ruth

Who can forget the whole dinkie dino, tamagotchi, giga pet, nano pet, etc. era? And the furbies... Slap bracelets and friendship bracelets that we'd sell in the yard... Anyone made those "poppers" out of folded paper?

Big hair and spray net.

But I see them coming back from time to time...at least some of it.
