Giving Yahoo a Goose In the Right Direction!

I sent Yahoo this request/suggestion.

With gasoline prices so high walking or riding a bike 3 to 5 miles is often an option. It would be simple to provide walking directions by ignoring one way streets and making the main objective the shortest route to a destination.

Do you think it will fly?

That's why I use google because they give me the shortest directions no matter what.

A good idea, although it would be extremely difficult for them to record every path possible to get you to a destination.

*Edit*: if you're talking about just the streets, then yes, it would be a good idea to have the option of turning off driving directions and replacing it with walking/biking directions.

They would just provide the shortest/most direct walking route.

Sorry, yeah, I just got that. Good idea. Hopefully, they'll pay you for the idea if they decide to use it.

I tried yahoo maps before and asked for directions from LA to Paris. It suggested swimming across the Atlantic Ocean.
