I agree with that quote. I think a real friend would be someone who'll always be there regardless of what happens.

Master Ittei said:
"If one were to say what it is to do good, in a signle word it would be to endure suffering, because only bu suffering can you truely see how to world realy is"

Perfect example of this:
My mate got drunk at this party and wa hitting on the girl who my best mate was in love with. I told him to back off and he said a heap of hurtfull things about my best mate. So the day after I invited him over and I told him that i stook up for him and what my other mate said about him but i said: " This is between me and you he was drunk it probly didnt mean much but if you're drunk you tend to say whats on your mind ". 4 hours later my best mate went to the girl my other mate likes and told her everything the dude said behind her back stuff like " yeah id love to grab her rack etc etc" and then tried to blame the whole thing on me when it backfired in his face.

So i tried to do good by telling my mate what was going on behind his back and then I suffered because everyone thought I invented all that crap and told it to the girl.
But i did find out who my best mate truely was.
So only by suffering can you truely find out who your friends are IMO

A good friend will listen to all the bull**** in your life, just like you will do the same. They will judge, but not act on it. Saving your butt when you need it, give you what you need to hear but not what you want to hear. They don't knock when they come to your house, they walk in. And for my case, call my parents mom and dad.

They know when you need to vent, or just when you need to sit there while they hug you. They won't give you half **** responses when you are upset, like, "that sucks" and they won't ignore you, either.

Well, at least trying. I just get a lot of friends who **** and **** and **** and ****. That doesn't bother me, I will listen, offer advice if they need/want it, and generally show interest in their well being. Then I will talk about something and I get, 'that sucks.' And that's it. Then they start ****ing some more. x.x I could listen to it all day because they are my friend, but it annoys me that I get pushed aside like that when I will drop plans if a friend needs me.
