I know some theatres with sleazy reputation, and people go there not to watch but have sex. Cheaper than a motel. Maybe they don't have a car? haha. Condoms around? Hey at least they practice safe sex!

I haven't done it, but I can see the appeal for adventurous couples. I don't think they'd do it with a crowded theatre. Even if the movie is popular, you can always see it on a "low period" time of the day and towards the end of the release (several weeks after). If someone tries to have sex next to me, I'd be "eww" - move away. I don't feel like reporting it because I'd rather enjoy the movie than spend time reporting sexcapades.

Aside from the adrenaline rush, I don't get how people would do it there in the first place. Most theaters don't let you put the arm rest up anymore. I can't imagine the seats being terribly clean. You can't really see. It's cramped. you have to be quiet.

I would just ignore them, and if it was interrupting me from watching the movie I would move seats.

I am sure Australia doesn't have the same seats as USA does, our ones are comfortable & sex at the movies doesn't indicate that sex is actually being made on the seats. Some cinemas have a MASSIVE space at the very back of the cinema. So go figure. ;)

I don't see how that could work in the seats? Wouldn't you need like 3 different seats to have enough room? Or does she straddle him whilst he sits? I'm kinda confused how that would work. I've never had sex in the movies (obviously) but a guy i was seeing one did run his hand up my inner thigh to do...well, i'm sure you can guess. I told him if his hand went any higher i'd break his fingers.

I get why people do it but at the same time i don't see the point :/ If you want excitment and to do it in a cramped space - car in a parking lot. I came to watch the film.

I have never heard this from my theater and I have never done this. My one guy friend has done it twice with his first girlfriend, but she's long gone. They were a bigger couple, not like skinny little people and I was like wow, what if you got kicked out or caught. He said that's what made it good. I don't think I could ever do that. But i'm still young so I have my whole life. Maybe i'll do it when i'm old and life is boring and ****ty.
