What quality daily do you read?

Do any of you read newspapers?

Do you read national or local papers?

I read the Sun eevryday and our local paper once a week. I wouldn't really call the sun a quality daily but it keeps me up to date with the world news.

I used to read the L.A. Times front to back and twice on Sundays, but I kept transferring smudged ink from my fingertips to my nose and forehead. Now I just have Google News as my Firefox start page.

True story.

I'll sometimes pick up the LA Times to get caught up with the local stories. I tend to stick to the Internet for the most part since I can multi-task and select different views for the same story.

I used to read the quality dailys Süddeutsche Zeitung for a while, I also had test subscriptions for Frankfurter Allgemeine and Berliner Tagesspiegel for a while. But in the last years, I've mostly relied on the internet for news. It's debateble whether it's a quality site, but I now regularly read the news on Spiegel Online, and also visit the BBC website regularly. As for print versions of papers, I almost exclusively read weeklys, most of all the print version of Die Zeit.

I don't buy a paper regularly, I occasionally read The Times when I do.

I use the internet, mainly Google news where I can pick and choose the articles and agencies as I despise many of the news companies.

If I am at home I like to have BBC-News24 on in the background.(it is the first thing I do in the mornings).

Again, some sunny day..

I don't buy them often but I have a real love hate relationship with newspapers. I'll find one I enjoy and then it's all downhill from there until I eventually switch again. The last paper I read was the Daily Mail on and off for about 2 weeks (the paper of the day, you understand. I didn't read the same paper for 2 weeks) but I found it too right wing for my liking. So I'm over on to the Telegraph at the moment which seems pretty conservative. The Times is an OK read too, I'll sometimes pick it up.

They all seem to jump on sensationalism, rumours and shoving too much opinion down your throat so it's a case of which one annoys me the least at any point in time. I do like the Daily Mails sport section best of all though. They seem to have the fewest "A source tells us.." stories.

Like others have said, I get a lot of my news from articles on the net from 2-3 of my favourite hotspots. Less BS, more news.

Being a Londoner, I sometimes read the daily free paper, The Metro, but now I'm more likely to look on the net for news now.

I never thought I'd hear someone say they read the sun for the world news! >.> hmm...

I must admit I hate the Daily Fail with a passion for the reasons in bold, they never let facts ruin a good story; to help scare the bejesus out of apoplectic right-wing England.

I don't even consider them a newspaper but a tool of propaganda to spew imaginary dangers to create a hysteria and sell their political agenda to the masses. If your going to buy a paper at least buy one that reports the news, if not buy the Sport <<< they have boobies
