There are people I completely ignore. If I read their topics, it is for moderating purposes. These people are few in number, but they do exist.
I don't post to be insulted, and in rare occasions, the OP tends to do just that.

I absolutely am picky about what I read and post. I just don't have the time to read more than 10-20% of the posts. Like someone else said, I am heavily influenced by the Most Recent Post box.
I also have the problem of posting a comment and then forgetting in what section the thread is in. It bugs the heck out of me because I can't follow the threads I posted in because I can't find them.

My reasons for posting in a thread vary. Sometimes I'll do it because the topic interests me, and sometimes I do it because I can't believe someone was idiotic enough to start a certain thread, prompting me to ask "seriously?"
I'll spout my thoughts or opinions regardless of which member started the thead, although there are a few here who's posts make me cringe when reading them. (I'm sure my posts have that same effect on a few of you as well)
