So I finally decided to check out what this game was all about. It looks pretty awesome. Left 4 Dead is a zombie based survival game made by Valve, creators of the Half-Life franchise, among others.

I'm sure this game will become popular very quickly. Anybody here to plays Counterstrike quite a bit probably knows about the popular Zombie mods.

Nope you beet me to it, as you mentioned waiting for this game is agony so I felt I should spare the GF community that frustration...

Plus this game needs no hype, it will instantly be popular seeing it will steel some CS:S and Day of Defeat users and just continue to grow over time. Strongly recommended buy the both of us and trust me, we know our ****.

Wow, I didn't think that this game was going to be this good, it looks like it will be tons of fun, I'll probably be getting it for PC quite quickly after it comes out I'm sure that I'll be able to find a few people to play with.

I still play counterstrike source every now and then, which means that obviously I'll be loving this game.

I imagine it will be available for PC users sooner than XBOX 360 users. Steam usually releases games early at a discounted price to encourage people to buy them.

My guess is $30-$40 for this game. I'd be surprised if it was a lot more. Team Fortress 2 was only $40 when it first came out on Steam I believe.

And that was with Portal and Half life 2, so really the whole Orange box cost $40 when it came out.

Does anybody have any idea if there will be a demo released for PC users? I might want to try it out before making the purchase.

HOLY CRAP COULD IT BE??? A DECENT ZOMBIE GAME! hell yeah! I'm stoked!

This game is so unique, it stands out from all Zombie games. My mate has it and he said that after you play it repeatedly, the game learns from parts where you were first safe, and adds zombies to those safety areas, making it so much harder to win! In essence, the game has its own mind in wanting you dead. You also need to have all your compadres alive otherwise when you're alone, you will die. There's zombies to take advantage of you by yourself, which is pretty awesome and gives the motive to protect your team members.

It'll be a big game, they've put tons of thought into it.
