Chalk up another for shotgun here. I like to get up close in personal in FPS games, let them see the bloodlust in my eyes before I kill 'em!

Fantasy games, I generally prefer either swords with a bit of finesse to them (rapier, katana, short swords) or big axes or hammers. I realize those two things are radically different from each other, but I just have never been a big fan of regular old longswords. They're like the vanilla of weaponry.

Action - Shotgun is a personal preference although I've got a nasty shot with a sniper in a few games

I'm telling the truth in the next statement, Don't Doubt me.

when I rented Call Of Duty 4, for like a 3 week span, I played online nonstop, i raised to I think Level 37, i then got the R700, a sniper rifle. I was playing team deathmatch: Ambush Level. Well, i got myself my R700, playing on the side of USMC, on the far right side, the third alleyway, on the very end, their is a 2 story house. Before i went in, I picked up a P90, so I went in, at the top of the stairs, planted two perfect claymores, and got inside the room. Their, i got a 30 kill streak, one fool walked up, and died of one claymore. I then threw a grenade down the stairs, killing another guy. I then took out the P90, and watched over the street. Another fool tripped the last claymore. I then went outside and went into the sewer, finding and killing three in their. Then i got n that nest directly next to the road, and killed several dudes their. Then a guy snuck up on me and knifed me. 36 kills, R700, P90, claymores, and grenades., My preferance.

What perks were you using other then claymores?

My bet is on stopping power, at least.

Anyway, I like to have a varying option. If I'm playing against people who use long range I'll use short range SMGs or assault rifles. If I'm playing against short to mid range people I'll take a sniper rifle and hope to pick up an assault rifle. I prefer being stealthy over anything.

As far as RPGs go: I like ranged magic attacks or super strong melee sword characters.

i like anything that kills the other player quickly.
for halo i use the sniper rifle and the BR so ranged
and for things like bioshock, i like the crossbow and shotgun

but in a pinch I'll use anything

A Shotgun in GTA

or the Sturmgewehr in Day of Defeat.

Rocket Launcher. Especially in games where the enemies explode into gory pieces.

I think that's the only time I dislike using the shotgun. In GTA you get 2 shots with the gun and it takes about 2 seconds to reload before you can use it again. In the heat of battle that makes things difficult and that's when I prefer to bust out the M4 rifle to do a little house clearing. =P

I don't remember my perks. I think it was Stopping power and UAV Jam. Either that or High Penetration (I'm notorious for single shot, multiple kills) and UAV JAmmer
