Heath Ledger Oscar Buzz

Ledger Rumoured for Oscar Nomination - Anne Brodie Article

This is a great read guys. By the trailer it seems that Heath Ledger is going to be a wonderful joker, but after reading this, I'm even more excited to see the movie.

I'd like to see him win too. Of course I haven't seen the movie yet but from everything I HAVE seen it's going to be amazing.

I read that during an interview, Michael Caine said that he had a scene with Heath, and he wasn't at the rehersal, so when it got time to do the actual scene, Michael was legitimately frightened and forgot his lines. That's six kinds of awesome.

I heard the same thing. Of course, it could just be staged, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm seeing the Dark Knight at least three times during the opening weekend.

The article is saying what we're all thinking: "Let him speak for himself". After every little tid bit, hot spot, trailer, campaign, and clips I've seen of the Joker/Heath Ledger the only thing left is to see the damned thing.

As for nominations, I say we expect nothing until this Friday (the 18th) and see it for ourselves. Personally I'm predicting at least a nomination, but I'm hesitant to just hand it over at the moment especially when it hasn't even hit the theaters. One thing's for sure, it's going to be a record breaker at the box office if not the Oscars.

I'm not sure i could adjust to a frowny Joker, i'm used to seeing a laughing, happy one; but i guess i'll have to wait until i see the actual film. From what i've seen in the trailers he did a damn good job.

Oh don't worry about the Joker frowning. He loves to... put a smile on that face.

I have to agree with you that we have to wait and see how his performance is, but I believe that no one will be disapointed.

I have to agree with you as well when you say it's going to break box office records. So many people are talking about this upcoming movie and it's going to be nuts at the movie theaters this weekend. Cannot wait.
