Agreed. Health is not just the outside of the body. But to stay on subject. I think that your always going to see this material veil over how healthy a man could be. There could be guys that are huge and have no prblem barrleing down a walkway wile jogging. I wish that I had the body I did when I took Martial Arts. But hey I stopped, so even though i try and work out I'm not all satisfied. I had the best body I ever had back then, and I just think that it's such like a specialized workout that you need to start again in order to get that body back. I could stand to grow a little more to.

Agreed.
I might as well be married, I've spent 5 years with my girl and theres not a day that goes by where I dont try to convey my best appearance and attitude for her.
I believe that when a day comes where you could care less what you look like in your spouses eye is the day you could care less about your spouse's opinion. and thats just a recipe for disaster.

For the most part I'm happy with my body. I'm 26, 5'7 and weigh around 150 lbs. I know it may seem a little light on the weight side but I've always had a fast metabolism and have never found gaining weight to be easy (although, I did manage to gain a total of 15 lbs between my wedding last year and today).
One thing I have always been dissatisfied with was my lack of upper muscles. My body type is close to that of a runner. There's not a lot of fat, mostly muscle but it's not bulky muscle. I don't like going without a shirt because my upper body isn't really filled out. If I could improve anything, I would add a little muscle up top.
I also don't run like I use to. I got lazy and stopped riding my bike and running so my stamina needs work as well. Other than that, I'm pretty happy.
And yes, I agree that the pressures on men are increasing. As I said I'm 26 and I already have a noticeable receding hairline and a nice little bald spot in the back (thanks to almost every male in my family developing "male pattern baldness"). My loss of hair is one of the very few areas that I'm sensitive about when it comes to people commenting on it.

At the age of 34 i can honestly say that my body has turned to ****,ten years ago i had a very nice body,i weighed around 14 stone with good muscle proportion and definition.
I was training in martial arts and working out in the gym 3 times a week.
Six years ago my little girl was born,i gave up the martial arts but still managed the gym a couple of times a week, but after a while that ended too.
I am as far as i no around 15 stone 4 now with most of the acsses being put on in the last two years.
I am currently looking for a gym that i can afford because i really do not like the way i look,i no i wont get back to what i was ten years ago, when i trained all the time but i think i may be able to lose the extra stone and get some definition back.
At least thats what im hoping

I'm going to marry a REALLY big and strong guy. Maby an athlete... or a scientist... or a politician... if they have brains it might be an acception.. but normally I like REALLY big guys lol.
Anyways, I'd make sure that he is motivated enough to keep his body strong. I think that if you continually compliment his body and stuff, he will want to keep your love for it.. So he will work to keep it inshape.
It's like like.. when your teachers always tells you how smart you are.... It makes you work 100 times harder to keep there high expectations of you... or at least it makes me try harder...

I would say for a 36 year old, my body is in great shape (minus the seizures) I still have the same waist size as I had back in High school (29 waist). I am 6' and 145 pounds with a zero BMI. I have a swimmers/runners build.
I like how my body looks not to ripped but just right. I just wish I had an ****.Then my shorts and wet suit would fit right.
I try to keep my self in good shape by surfing, martial arts, and long distance walking and other extreme sports (better than any gym).
So at this time I am happy with my body, now give it a few more years and I might change my mind.

I've developed kind of a gut, its not flabby really theres muscle under there somewhere it just sticks out just slightly over my belt line, not really a problem other than that I feel pretty good about myself.
I'm like 5'8 and 160 pounds.
