True on some points but he knows hockey inside and out the buisness aspect of it too and plus having Gretzky as Commish would give the NHL an identity and some publicity which it desperately needs right now.

I would want to kill myself if Gretzky was commisher. He sold out to go to Phoenix, Phoenix, come the hell on, they have no jesus market. He knows that, I'm not a fan of Gretzky at all, he was a hell of a player but now it is just a sell out, he helped make this game worse. If he went to a candian team or atleast a big market place like New York then that would of got the attention of a lot of people, and would help the game, I say a lot of people down in Phoenix don't really know who Gretzky is.

For the new Commisher, I agree with MJ, I think messier would be a great Commisher and would really do what's best for this game.

I forgot all about Messier. I think that he would be a good fit for sure as well but I think Chelios would know the cities in the USA that don't have a big market and do his best to move them so I'd give a small edge to him for that.
