Work 5 Days a Week or 3?
I know some people who just started working Friday through Sunday 12 hours a day. 36 hours a week all knocked down in 3 days. It pays full time too. So what would you prefer? Now that I think about it I'd actually like the 12 hour shifts. That leaves 4 days off per week and also pays full time. Not bad. So, what would you prefer? |

If I enjoy the job, I would do a 12 hour shift. The fact that the people you know have to work during the weekend sucks though. That's a huge drawback.
If I didn't like the job and I had to stay, I'd so more shifts with less hours each. |

I'd take the middle route and work four ten hour days.

I would take the three twelve hour days if I could do them during the week, like Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. That or Steves plan of four ten hour days would be good with me.

I'd go less days, longer shifts for sure, as long as I didn't have to work weekends. Having more days off gives you so much more freedom with what you can do.

Well the thing is most jobs that offer the 3 12 hour days only offer it over the weekend.
Obviously it would be better if it was a Tuesday through Thursday schedule but you can't have your cake and eat it too I guess.  The ultimated would be 3 12 hour days Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. That way you can have a day off in between. Good luck finding a job that will offer that schedule though.

I'd rather have it Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and have a four day weekend every week.

Im happy with the 5 days i do right now, thing is i dont usually know which 5 days i will be doing until the week starts. I take a day off when i feel like it so have to make up the day/s over the w/e ? I have to say though i actually do a 9 hour day over 5 days which =45 hrs a week. Sometimes more like this past week i have done something like 54 hrs or so. No wonder i feel so tired .
