Did/do you work for money or is it because you think it's a great thing to do? I work for money. I have to earn money to be able to afford to pay the rent. If I didn't work I'd still be living with my parents and I'm 22 now so I'm glad I've moved out.

Do you like working? I actually enjoy working in my current job. It's a shame I've been made redundant because it was quite a fun job. I'm not looking forward to being the new person at a new company though!

If you didn't need the money, would you still work?I think I would yes. Maybe not full time but I'd still feel I had to work at least a little. I'd always feel like something was missing from my life if I didn't work.

Isn't it not possible that some people just actually enjoy working? As above, I do enjoy my job so yes it is possible.

Mom told me never to talk to strangers, and you're pretty strange.

I went all last winter without a job and I gotta tell you it made me feel like a damn bum. I Wandered around the house aimlessly just to find something to do to occupy the time. I work for money of course, but mainly because I love my job and it is great to be able to support yourself.

hahaha Sometimes I feel like an old Grandpa

but in all seriousness I would swear about 98% of time just being Idle after retirement is what really does a person in. I've got a few relatives I love to use as an example. The ones that retired and just slothed around the house died off easily 3 times faster than the ones who got up at the butt crack of dawn and mowed their lawns for no apparent reason other than to irritate the neighbors.

I suppose accomplishing tasks no matter how minuscule in life helps keep us alive...sorta gives a purpose to exist I suppose. But eh, to each is own.

I'm not working at the moment, only because we've moved around so much. (About to move for the 7th time since I met my Fiance, just over 2 years ago. )

I usually do work though.
I've done loads of different things over the years to put food on the table from shops to factories to standing hunched over in a muddy field picking potatoes.
THAT was fun!

If I won the lottery though I wouldn't work.
I'd use the money to save more Ratties.

I only work because I need $$$. I'm not sure how I haven't killed anyone at work, especially customers. Retail is horrible, do not do it unless you absolutely have to.

I originally started working because my home situation was bad, and I wanted to get away from it as much as possible. Then I just learned to love working. Even if I won one billion dollars I would still work, or at least volunteer somewhere.

I like my Job, sure it's not my dream job but you have to step over a few stones to get across a river right. But the Money is good, especially for a kid my age, but if I didn't work I would really be sitting around twiddling my thumbs, so I mine as well get paid in the occasion that I'm doing just that. if you work more when your young you'll work less when your older. A buddy of mine in college worked two jobs as a asst. Manager and made about 45k a year all wile going to school, he said if he busted his **** to make money now he won't have to bust it later.

If I won the lottery and didn't have to work anymore, I think I still would work anyway. I'd probably get bored and lonely eventually. I mean all of my friends would still be working, so what would I do all day? Plus, I love my coworkers, so I'm sure I'd miss them.

I have had a few jobs i have enjoyed but many more that i have hated.
I have always worked for one reason only and that was to provide for my children, enjoyment just didn't come into it, if a job sucked it was tough, i would look for something else but often ended up staying at a place i hated through having no choice.
I'm happier now though, i'm financially stable now, i don't need to work sometimes so it's more relaxed and now i am self employed and doing what i love.
Alot of the time you just have to grin and bear it, especially if you have dependants but the time does come where you can relax more and be more choosy :)
Wouls i still work if i was rich? NO! lol i would spend my time enjoying life.
