How long did you play it?
Im 11hrs into the game but I am doing so many side quests. I doubt ill finish it anytime soon. I read if you just do all the main missions you can finish in like...12-15 hrs? |

That's probably about right. I did a good amount of side quest so it took me a much much longer time.

Default soldier. I specialized in assualt rifles mostly, but put a good amount in Shotgun and a few in Sniper Rifles. Soldier is fun.

I am a vangaurd mostly pistols and shotguns. Although i hardly use my biotics.

Not special planets per se, but special weapons (Spectre weapons) and two harder difficulty levels (hardcore and insane). I recommend you load a premade character thats already leveled up to play those. Also, you can unlock levels 51-60.
