I figure that we can have a little fun and mock those best of lists in our own way.

Let's figure out who the best guitarist is based on GF's opinions. I'll start by taking a list of ANY person who plays guitar; I'm talking a huge list. I'll edit this post to include any that people post. No matter what style of guitar or type of music, list the person.

After we get a nice, long list I'll post polls one by one with the max number of people per poll and set a time limit (two weeks, probably) for how long it can stay open. We'll keep at that until we have a second list and can repeat the process with smaller, but fewer, polls until we come down to the number one best in GF's opinion. I'll post the list of rankings as guitarists get knocked off.

And believe it or not, Charo, the 'cuchi-cuchi' girl herself is supposedly one of the best guitar players in the world today.

Joe Perry is also excellent, but he's not as legendary as some of the wider known guitarists listed above.

Whoever played Comfortably Numb. I can't remember and I'm too lazy to wiki it.

Guys, read the damn topic before you post. I'm making a huge list and you're just naming the same ones over and over. Just make a list if the guitar players you know.

I vote for Matt Bellamy. He's current, and the first guitar genius of the 21st century.
