The Dark Knight 2 CD Collectors Edition Soundtrack

Did you guys know there was a 2 disc extended soundtrack available for The Dark Knight?

Amazon.com: The Dark Knight Collectors Edition [Original Motion Picture Soundtrack & Bonus Digital Release]: MP3 Downloads: The Dark Knight - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

The first CD is the same as the main TDK soundtrack but the second one has 14 new tracks, most of which are additional music from the movie, with a few cool techno-ish remixes towards the end.

I got it off iTunes a few hours ago and started listening to it just now. So far so good. I recognize a lot of the new stuff from the movie so I'm glad I have this extra cd now.

Who else has heard it. Thoughts?

I meant that the second CD has 14 additional tracks. The first CD is exactly the same as the normal soundtrack CD. OP edited.

I haven't heard the new stuff.

Normally I don't pay much attention to movies' soundtracks. But my local library had the CD, so I figured I'd give it a shot, and I liked it. Then I watched the movie again and realized what I'd missed.

I'd be interested in hearing the new stuff, but I'm not inclined to spend money on it, and I refuse to pirate stuff.

Remixes seem a bit weird for that style of music, but if it works...

The new stuff is also from the movie. The way it seems is that they put all the best stuff on the main soundtrack and left the second disc for the extra stuff that didn't fit, basically for those who are die hard and want to hear it all.

One of the extras that's on the new one is the credits music which you can already listen to if you watch the movie. The rest is recognizeable from various parts of the movie but from what I've heard so far (I haven't listened to the whole thing just yet as I bought a few other soundtracks recently also) the other tracks are similar to what's already on the main disc.

As for the remixes, they actually aren't bad at all. I kind of bought the second disc thinking "Oh well, I'll just uncheck the remixes so I don't hear them when I listen to this" but curiosity got the best of me and they are actually pretty cool. I was a little concerned about the techno/orchestra mixing together as well and thought the style just wouldn't work well but these actually turned out quite well. I'm somewhat of a techno fan in general though. If you absolutely can't stand techno then you might not like them as much or at all.
