Escape the Nest - Editors, is just about the most epic song i've ever heard. Tom Smith has an incredible and unique voice.

Crazy - Aerosmith
It doesn't sound that sad, but the lyrics are not exactly on the happy note. The tempo also has a nice waltz-y feel. |

Better Than Me - Hinder I kind of hate this song, but there's no better one if you want to be really depressed. |
