Favorite Sad Song?
I'm just wondering what songs get your hairs standing on end due to their epic sad tone?
My personal two are:
Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah
Joshua Radin - Winter
I heard the Joshua Radin one in an episode of Scrubs and downloaded it instantly. A true unheard of great.

RED - Pieces (off of their album "End of Silence")
It's an incredible song. The emotion is simply palpable.
----------
Alter Bridge - In Loving Memory
It's the kind of song that could bring a man to his knees in tears.

Escape the Nest - Editors, is just about the most epic song i've ever heard. Tom Smith has an incredible and unique voice.
A sad song i really like right now is Pierrot the Clown by Placebo

Chris LeDoux - Riding For a Fall
This song has been my go-to when I've had relationship troubles. Definitely one of my favorites

Crazy - Aerosmith
It doesn't sound that sad, but the lyrics are not exactly on the happy note. The tempo also has a nice waltz-y feel.

There is this song that I know really well by the country singer Alan Jackson it's called "Where were you? (When the world stopped turning)"
it's about September 11, 2001
|
"Ohh! OOOhhh!!!-Oh and again! I made it. I know it. I can't see it but I know I made it. Oh my God I made it. Alright, don't give up. This is for everything. This is when I don't have to do it. This one right here is when I don't have to do it, which leaves nothing else but the one. No I don't think so. Not there. God I wish I could turn the volume-OH **** Aahhh son of a **** I talk too much. ****." - 00vega -

God, I don't even care about 9/11 anymore . . isn't that terrible that all this gushy "never forget" crap got me to become apathetic?
Better Than Me - Hinder
I kind of hate this song, but there's no better one if you want to be really depressed.

Well the song came out right after it happened and everyone was still thinking about it.
I don't care if you don't like it Constantine, I like it because i heard it for the first time not 3 months after it happened, when it was still fresh in everyones mind, that song is good.

No need to get pissy, sheesh.
Back on subject (before others start crying) . . .
Hello - Evanescence
Let's face it, almost every one of their songs could be listed here.

Amy Lee rocks. Her voice is soooo haunting! I dig alot of Evanescence's stuff.
