Instruments
So, does anyone play an instrument? If so, what is your skill level and how long have you been playing?
I've been playing guitar and bass on and off for about five or so years, but its just a hobby of mine and nothing too serious for me.

Ive been playing the trumpet for almost 10 years and bass for two.
I ****ing love my trumpet. Its honestly the most astounding piece of musical instrument ever ever ever.

I only play at school, not a fan of it really. I can play little bit of guitar and drums..
Got 20/20 on the Music exam last year. Happy bout that.

I've been playing guitar for a few years now pretty seriously. I absolutely love the challenge - because in music, you can always get better than you are, and there is absolutely no limit.
The only downside to playing guitar has been its impact on my wallet/ bank account. I have probably dropped 7 or 8 thousand on a few nice acoustics, an electric, and all the amps and pedals you can imagine. It doesn't mean that you have to spend a lot of money to play guitar. I just have a knack for wanting the latest and greatest there is.
In my mind, I think guitar is actually one of the cheapest instruments to learn - you can get a great sounding acoustic guitar for under 400 if you know what you are doing, and there are starter packs for way less than that.

Drums - played those only in drade school
Sax - played through junior high/highschool
Guitar/piano - learned bits here and there
dont really play much of them anymore

I just recently got hooked on piano. I took lessons for a few years when I was younger, but it's been quite a while so I'm pretty rusty. I can play November Rain by Guns N' Roses, and now I'm trying to learn Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd and Karma Police by Radiohead, as well as a couple Zelda songs.

I play trumpet and I'm not the best but I am certainly at a level that requires skill, I have only been playing for about 5 1/2 years now though... wait a minute... that's a lot of time, I should be way better than I am!
