2006-2007 Basketball Betting Thread

The idea of the tread is to bet your points on basketball games.

Ex: I bet 200 points that the T-Wolves will beat the Bucks today. Any Takers?

Rules:

• Can't bet more points then what you have.
• Need to pay up within ONE week
• You can't make more then 5 bets in one day
• You CANNOT bet real MONEY in this thread!
• Have fun!

I got this idea from the baseball betting thread and thought it would be a good idea to have it for basketball.

I need to make it clear that this is your puppy, not ours. So, you're going to be the one to keep track of the bets and who owes whom what points. We really aren't ready to sanction something like this for the staff to oversee. That means all complaints and criticisms, if any, need to be taken to "sportsaholic", not the FC staff.

Im sure Vince would help handle the situation if anything like that were to come up.

No, what I'm trying to tell you is that all problems that might arise will be yours to deal with. We're not going to be responsible for overseeing this, playing referee, or as a points collection service. I would suggest that should someone welch on a bet...... you make it publicly known on the board and then disqualify them from further participation.

I would hope not. We're getting ready to undergo some big moves for the forum and we'll need Vince to do what Vince does best with his time....post and recruit. I don't see him playing "betting cop", but that's going to be up to him.

Well i was going to bet that the Spurs were going to win...but NOPE :D maybe start this tomorrow. The day's almost over and the only games left are Oklahoma Cityvs. Seattle and Philly and Golden State...not too exciting...

Like Hoosier mention I don't really have to time to take care of this. It seems that you have this under control Sportsaholic, and to show you i have confidence in this I am going to Stick this thread. But if I see this not working out and being out of control I am going to un-stick it.
