and stockton was injured for most of the tournament too!
Larry's Back was 88% done, he was nowhere near the player he was when he won 3 MVP's in a row. Lattener was a throw in to have a college player on the team (not sure why they bothered though, Nique or Isiah should have been on the team) Still it is the best team ever, but I can't help but think how good a team the U.S. could have assembled in the 60's Bill Russell and Wilt at C Bob Cousy, Jerry West, Oscar Robinson, Hal Greer in the backcourt Elgin Baylor, Jerry Lucas, John Havlicek, Bob Pettit, Rick Barry in the frontcourt that would be a very tough team to beat IMO. |

The 1992 Dream Team was stacked and was also untouchable in so many ways possible. The fire power they had offensively and defensively was unheard of and probably can't be repeated. It would be interesting to see them compete in today's olympics with the europeen game being way more advance then it was 15 years ago. That 60's team would be a handful too and they'd have amazing stats maybe even better then the 1992 team had, but there's no one that compete against them because Basketball wasn't even known in other countries at the time. It would be really neat to see the 60's team face the 1992 Dream Team.

It was amazing to see all that talent playing on the same team. I was in total awe when I watched those games. Their game was flawless in every aspect possible which made it impossible to even come close of beating this legendary team.
You totally right Baller it would be argubly the greatest match up of all time if the legends from the 60's faced up against the 1992 Dream Team. It's hard to say how the game would turn out because of the different style of game it was played back then compared to the style we play now. |
