Saras is a great player, i agree with u but he is very unsuccessful in defence. and we mustn't forget that he is in Pacers which wants to win matches with the defence. i think he must work on his defence. if he can effect his defence, he will be one of my favourites for 6th man of year

ESPN/AP - Los Angeles Lakers player Lamar Odom's 6½-month-old son has died, a spokesman for the team said Thursday.

According to John Black, Jayden Odom died Wednesday night, apparently suffocating while sleeping in his crib in New York.

"Lamar is very distraught," Black said. "Both he and the baby's mother are asking that people respect their privacy at this time."

St. Paul Pioneer Press - While the Timberwolves were introducing their 2006 draft picks at Target Center on Thursday, current center Eddie Griffin was served with a civil suit accusing him of crashing his SUV into a parked car because he was drunk and watching a pornographic DVD, the St. Paul Pioneer Press is reporting.

The suit seeks $50,000 in compensatory damages and could be amended to include punitive damages, said Mike Padden, attorney for plaintiffs Jamal Hassuneh and Lindsey Hassuneh.

Rocky Mountain News - The Denver Nuggets continue to search for a shooting guard, and according to the agent for guard Bonzi Wells they are anticipating a call from the team, the Rocky Mountain News is reporting.

"It's one of their significant needs right now," Wells' agent, William Phillips, said Friday afternoon about the Nuggets seeking a shooting guard. "He's going to play hard. George would like him. I think he would be a good fit."

Wells made $8 million last season, and isn't counting on taking much of a pay cut. Phillips, who said Wells wants at least a five-year deal, said the Nuggets would need to do a sign-and- trade since their midlevel exception isn't enough.
