Goodell chosen as NFL's new commissioner

Quote:
Roger Goodell, who never stopped rising through the ranks during his lifelong devotion to the NFL, was chosen by the league's 32 owners Tuesday in a vote that took only three hours to complete.

He's worked in the commisioners office long enough that he should make an excellent commissioner himself. I applaud the owners for reaching this decision.

I think Paul Tagliabue was one of the best commisionners in sports today, it's a real shame that he has stepped down. But Goodell will do a very good job, he has worked really hard with the NFL in the past, and he'll be a real good replacement.

Yea, Vince, Tag really did some great things during his administration. Expansion, salary cap, and a 26 billion dollar television contract will be a large part of his legacy.

I think we'll see some good things come with GOODell (hehe). We'll see. Tagliabue was a good comissioner and he'll have a nice legacy left behind. He did a lot of good things. Hopefully, Goodell can top him (though it'll be hella hard). He's young, we'll just have to see about it.
