2. You get downward stab from a knight in the new town you should be able to get to. Follow the trail past a couple boulders to get there. Definitely get it before going back to the swamp palace. 3. I believe that's the water of life. Give it someone in the new town for a new spell. You're doing pretty well. Getting the hammer is definitely one of the hardest things to get in the game. You'll cruise through the next couple palaces before it starts getting hard again. The fifth and sixth palaces are tricky. It helps a lot to draw simple maps as you go. |

I'm not really much of a drawer but I could try that, there is a place online that I found that gives you all of the maps of all of the dungeons, but maybe simple maps are better because I can mark whatever I want on them and then I know what I am doing.
I don't really use maps though, unless I'm really stuck. It's good to know that that was one of the hardest things in the game, because that was really hard, that is... until I got my levels up. Are my levels really good for this point in the game? |

Yeah, you're doing well with your levels. Probably a little higher than what I'm usually at by then. The levels max out at 8, but the higher ones take a lot longer. Attack 8 is at like 8000 points.
You don't need to draw maps, but it's a lot more rewarding figuring it out for yourself than looking at maps on the internet. The fifth palace in particular is really confusing, with several dead ends. |

Well I just finished up the third palace, I went to the one in the maze and found a thing that seems to be a doll (maybe even a real kid) I couldn't tell.
my levels are life-6 (with 2 containers) attack-5 (with downstab) magic-6 (with 2 containers and the shield, jump, life, fairy, and fire spells) are there any other containers or moves that I should have for the fourth palace? am I doing well? I can't seem to be able to get to the fourth palace without dying, and how am I supposed to kill those ghost guys in the fourth dungeon? In the game all of these people keep mentioning a town called "darunia" how do I get there? how do I get the upward stab? So far I am really liking the game, can't believe that I have never played it before. wow lots of things to talk about in this game, I really am getting better though, I figured out how to kill the red iron knuckles easily but now I can't kill the blue ones, oh well... hopefully tomorrow I find the boots so that I can walk in the water. Get the Fire spell from the first town you see after taking the raft across the ocean.
Then to get to Darunia, go through the cave to the north and then go west and you'll find it. You'll get the Reflect spell for saving the lost boy, which lets you block axes and stuff, as well as kill the ghosts (wizrobes). I think you get upward stab in Darunia too. There's a magic container hidden in the maze. After all that you're set for the 4th palace. You can't get the next heart container until after you get the item from the palace. |

Well I made more good progress today
but now I'm rather stuck and I have no idea what to do. I just finished up the fourth palace my levels M-6 A-5 L-7 I now have gotten 3 magic and 3 heart containers (since the beginning of the game) accidentally ran into one above the palace on the island. I also got the up stab and the reflect spell but now I really am stuck. I spent about an hour in the fifth palace and think that I almost finished it. in the palace I got what I believe to be the flute I went and played it for that black monster guy near Nabooru I went down and I found out that there were invisible guys in the action screens, I barely made it to kasuto and then I got killed by invisible guys. is there a way to be able to see the invisible guys? |

Yeah, you need the cross from the sixth palace. It's actually possible to beat the game without it. I've never tried, but I imagine it's pretty challenging.

Well I am finally almost finished with the game, I have to beat the 6th dungeon now it's very difficult, I now have all of the items in the game, including the magic key and the cross. I also have all of the spells, I got spell today, and thunder, but I have absolutely no idea what thunder does though it uses up almost all of my magic.
Here are my levels Magic-6 (with all containers) Life-7 (With all containers) Attack-6 (With up and down stab) items that I now have hammer boots glove cross candle magic key flute raft I think that's all of them right? spells that I have shield jump life fire fairy reflect thunder spell I think that I might be done with getting all of the spells too. I am still loving this game though I cannot find the boss in the 6th dungeon, where is he? down a hole? in some random hall? I have no idea. I am still loving this game, and I in fact now love it just as much as The Legend Of Zelda Original, I never thought that I would end up liking it this much. After beating this game I will be moving on to A Link To The Past, I have beaten only the first dungeon in the game a long time ago, so I obviously have some work to do in this game also, then I will be doing the long awaited 3 heart challenge in Ocarina Of Time. I have almost added another game to my Zelda Games beaten list, a very good one to have on the list. I probably won't be playing this game at all once I beat it though even though it's fun it is getting slightly annoying with the same music, the same enemies, and having to walk all the way to a dungeon after I died in it, it's still a great game though, definitely one of my new favorites in the Zelda series. I'm impressed that you've gotten this far. The 6th palace boss is pretty easy if you can find him. Here's a hint if you want it...
You'll probably want to play the game again after you beat it. You get to start over with your current levels and spells. |

oh yeah I forgot about the second world
I'm not gonna do that right away though I am definitely going to move on to A Link To The Past Does the game let you start in world 2 if you name your character link? I didn't mean it like that anywy I will definitely be finishing the secodn world in this game. I have done way too much work to just completely stop, I'm gonna do it gradually though as I progress my way through A Link To The Past, probably will finish second world before I make it to 3 heart challenge though. |
