Favorite Zelda Game?

Well since like 4 days ago I have started to really play Zelda, mostly Zelda II since I am going through all of the games in order. I now have a new favorite 2-D Zelda game... err... well it ties with my other favorite.

here are my favorites

3-D- Ocarina Of Time

Really Ocarina Of Time introduced me to the Zelda series for the most part, it was my first Zelda game and it was also the first one for me to beat.

2-D-The Legend Of Zelda & Zelda II The adventure Of Link

The Legend Of Zelda 1 and 2 are both great games, since there isn't an infinite amount of places to visit like in the 3-D games the overall feel of the game is much more simple but Zelda 2 is definitely not a simple game to beat like The Legend Of Zelda original.

What is your favorite 2-D Zelda game and your favorite 3-D Zelda game?

Have you played A Link to the Past yet? That one is my favorite of them all.

I've played it, I'd have to say that it's my least favorite except for Wind Waker and Four Swords for gamecube, I don't know why but I really just don't like that game very much, I do have to beat it though when I go through my quest so maybe my opinion will change like it did on Zelda 2.

I was going to make this same topic. I think I probably did make this topic a couple years ago. Anyway, here's my top 5...

1. Ocarina of Time - This game was perfect in almost every way and completely revolutionized the Zelda series. The dungeons are amazing.

2. Zelda II - This is one of my favorite games more for nostalgia and less because I think it's a great game. I think it's one of the most underrated games ever, but I can see why other people might not like it. I like it because it's different, and I like the magic and level-up systems.

3. Twilight Princess - TP reminded me of Ocarina of Time in a lot of ways, and it just has that classic epic Zelda feel. Whether they're easy or not, the boss fights are the best in any Zelda game. The only thing keeping this from being my favorite game is the quality of the dungeons, which I thought were mostly mediocre, and one or two really good ones. Also, there aren't many quality mini-games other than the fishing.

4. Majora's Mask - I like the darker theme to this game, the clock, all the character interaction, and how every character has their own schedule. Collecting the masks is fun. There's so many side-quests and mini-games. The downside is the weird save system and the lack of dungeons.

5. Link to the Past - I'd probably rank this game higher if I played this game when it came out, but I didn't play it until after Ocarina of Time. Still, it's a great game and brought a lot of new elements to the series.

6. Link's Awakening
7. Legend of Zelda
8. Wind Waker
9. Oracle of Ages/Seasons

yeah that's the same reason why I don't like A Link To The Past as much I feel like I could have liked it a lot more for a Zelda game. well anyway I only have this game for GBA so Ithink that it might be worth it to buy it in the wii store for $8 so then I don't have to play it on GBA in order to finish my Zelda quest.

I have A Link to the Past for both SNES and GBA and there's really not much of a difference.

but the problem is that I don't like playing games for long periods of time on a small unlit screen and even with a lit screen. I'm just gonna buy it in the wii store so then I can play it much more comfortably.

Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess are about tied for the best.

For 2-D, I'd say Link to the Past is the best. Most of them are good, though.

In 3-D, It's hard to pick the best. OoT and TP are both really good; I'd rank the two of them together as the best.
