Beijing Olympics

Well the Beijing Olympics are getting closer and closer. Is there anyone else really looking forward to the summer games? If so what are the events are you looking forward to?

I'm really excited for the Olympics, it's always something I've enjoyed watching. For me the events that I'm really looking forward to are:

Swimming races
Track and Field
Basketball

I can't wait to see how many medals Michael Phelps is going to win, the guy is simply amazing. He's so fun to watch as well.

I love Track and Field, especially the 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters. I cant wait to see if anyone is going to break the 100 meter record.

Basketball as to be the best even for me, I really hope that the Americans just dominate the competetion. They have the best team in recent memory, so they are the favorite to win in my opinion.

Thoughts?

"How to hit home runs: I swing as hard as I can, and I try to swing right through the ball...The harder you grip the bat, the more you can swing it through the ball, and the farther the ball will go. I swing big, with everything I've got. I hit big or I miss big. I like to live as big as I can." Babe Ruth

Soccer and Basketball.. during the olympics I wouldn't mind watching a Baseball game or even a Volleyball game

Italy had good results during Athens
finished 2nd place for Basketball.. (THATS RIGHT, BETTER THAN A USA TEAM WITH NBA PLAYERS) and Volleyball and got Bronze for Soccer.

Canada finished 4th for Baseball

I'm really excited. I love the Summer Olympics. I'm looking forward to pretty much the same stuff as MJ. Swimming is my favorite, and I like track and field and basketball. I also like cycling, gymnastics, table tennis, soccer, beach volleyball, and a few others. I can't stand diving, which unfortunately they show a lot of.

I'm looking forward to all of the track & field events the most, swimming will also be pretty good.

"Ohh! OOOhhh!!!-Oh and again! I made it. I know it. I can't see it but I know I made it. Oh my God I made it. Alright, don't give up. This is for everything. This is when I don't have to do it. This one right here is when I don't have to do it, which leaves nothing else but the one. No I don't think so. Not there. God I wish I could turn the volume-OH **** Aahhh son of a **** I talk too much. ****." - 00vega -

I'm just hoping to get a chance to watch some of it, any of it. I'm gonna have to find live showings on the net.

Bored out of my mind.

Cycling and Track & Field. Here they mostly show diving, swimming and other events I don't particularly care for. I'll have to visit online or try finding another station that shows these events. :o

I usually don't watch the summer Olympics, I'm more of a winter olympics person. Though, I will be keeping an eye on this year's summer games because of al lthe hype and controversy concerning what the Chinese government will and won't allow in terms of coverage and reporter access. If anything, it should be quite interesting.
