Just wanted to mention that the reigning Olympic Champions got beaten by Luthiania today. The final score was 79-75. This is a huge upset, it should be interesting to see how the Argentina respond during there next game.

It's not an upset, if you know anything about International basketball you'd know that Lithuania are one of the top 5 world wide.

USA had an easy win over Angola this morning. Unfortunately I was asleep. The next three games will be big tests. They play Spain, Greece, and Germany.

Sorry Padd, I do know International Basketball, if you followed it then you'd realized it is an upset. Argentina are the reigning Olympic gold medalist. So they were the team to beat and when Lithuinia did so, that made it an upset

It was obvious that USA were going to beat Angola, but I'm surprise they didn't beat them by more.

I personally think some of the players are thinking ahead, especially the upcoming match on Thursday against Greece. I'm pretty sure they want revenge on this team and just blow them out. Should be interesting game.

Where can I find a schedule of the games in US time zones? For some reason I can't find these games and I've missed them all so far.

I did think of asking you to join my little scheme, but somehow I knew, 007's loyalty was always to the mission, never to his friends. ~006

Argentina won the OG 4 years ago.. presently they are not the greatest Basketball nation.. and Lithuania is not far behind. I expected it to be a close game from before ball drop, and I was right. You might think I know nothing about Bball because I never follow the NBA, But that's the thing.. I do not follow the NBA.. I try to keep up with Euro-Basket as it is just as good.. if not better than the NBA.

When Greece beat the Americans it was an upset right? Because the Americans were rank ahead of them. This 2008 Argentina team is ranked ahead of Luthiania, which means that if Argentina lost to a team that ranked under them, which they did, then it would be an upset. It doesn't matter if Luthiania was getting closer to the Argentins, it's still upset. I don't understand why you cannot see this as an upset. Can anyone please back me and tell him it is an upset.

I think an upset would be if a team with less talent.. or should i say.. ALOT less talent on paper beats a very good team would be an upset. For example the 2006 Western Quarter finals when a ordinary Oilers team beat a very great Red Wings team.. that was an upset. Lithuania has a better than decent team.. they have a pretty good team and have a pretty good olympic record in the past.. (Maybe even more consistent than Argentina... I'm not 100% sure about that but I'll verify, point being these 2 teams are very close on paper) And point proven these 2 teams played a very close game. Lithuania won by what.. 4 or 5 points. I expected it to be a close game because on paper Argentina has a very good team and Lithuania has a good team. Even though you're ranked #2 world-wide.. don't expect to roll over everyone. I think an upset would be if a lesser developed Basketball nation such as Angola would beat a top class team.
