1 family - 18 children
CTV.ca | Abbotsford, B.C. woman gives birth to 18th child
Good job.
I have what some consider a large family (4 young kids + one teenager that hangs out about 1/2 the time). To me it is more average size. I love to see large families like this. Lots of love - lots of fun.

LMAO @ Burger King's and micfranklin's comments.
I can't help but to think if I were in that situation it would be hard as hell. I don't know how you can be the wife and clean up after ALL THOSE kids and have enough love to give. It gives me a headache just thinking about it.
I hope the dad has a good career to pay for all of those kids. >.<;

If I were really rich and in relatively perfect health, I'd like to have 18 kids too. : :

the older kids help out im sure.... i saw this show called kids by the dozen and this family lives on about 40,000 a year, 13 kids, two over 18. they eat for about 150 dollars a week for all of them (they said it equals less than a dollar a day per person) and only the father works (away from home, i think the mom works more) the kids over 8 change dipers for the younger ones and they all do chores on a reward system.... they get clothes donated quite a bit and they all share, do home haircuts, and help out at the fathers company. they also do a group birthday for about 300 dollars once a year and give a cupcake to each kid on their actual birthday...... its a very systemized life, it just amazes me that they could do it on only 40,000 a year.

Dot. Dot. Dot. -_____-;
Am I a spoiled brat if I want my OWN birthday and my OWN cake without sharing with others? I don't want to be grouped in with other people when it's my day. That's just depressing sharing a birthday with another person LET ALONE a group of people. -________-;
Having their older children chip in doing chores is also pretty horrible. I mean, I believe that the parents should be doing the work and not having the children watch over the others or do more than a child should.
I would be very depressed growing up in such a large family. No alone time, having to watch your brothers and sisters, sharing birthdays, no special time with mom and dad and whatever else. Maybe I'm just used to being the youngest and most spoiled child? ^_^

Yes they do, they use a buddy system everywhere they go.
As far as the families income, let's think about it for a minute. They've done dozens of shows and endorsements, many of which I'm sure they were paid for. (He's a former politician so he knows how to schmooze the public.)
They recently built a huge **** house, and are living quite comfortably....don't feel overly sorry for the poor struggling family.
If they're happy with 18 kids, then more power to them.
