I do find the public viewing a bit strange but it's up to the family. The late Selena had a open casket public viewing.

Eep. The idea of a class coffin for anyone kinda just scares me. I would rather, if i were a Jackson family member, have a private funeral. It would be more respectful IMO to only have those that were close to him. A public viewing is reasonable; Since he was a huge public icon, it would only seem right.

Apparently a huge amount of people went to where his memorial was supposed to take place later this week and are camping out. The only problem is that supposedly the Jackson family has decided NOT to have a public memorial so a lot of fans are upset. Apparently the funeral procession will still take place though but a time is not yet set.

People will probably camp out to see the funeral procession.

So I was listening to the radio this morning, and they were talking about Michael Jackson's memorial at the Staples Center. Well only 8550 fans were able to get a ticket, but 1.6 million people registered. One of the DJ's from that radio station here my area got a ticker, how nuts is that? IT's also great for the radio station, because he'll be able to get the inside scoop.
