Haha stupid fool.. Maybe after a group of 20 cops beats his teeth in he will think about the virtue of this freedom of speech.. 'It hurts less when you keep your mouth shut.'
haha I only wish that i would have stated my opinion first.
Seriously though that guy is an idiot.
"Ohh! OOOhhh!!!-Oh and again! I made it. I know it. I can't see it but I know I made it. Oh my God I made it. Alright, don't give up. This is for everything. This is when I don't have to do it. This one right here is when I don't have to do it, which leaves nothing else but the one. No I don't think so. Not there. God I wish I could turn the volume-OH **** Aahhh son of a **** I talk too much. ****." - 00vega -

I don't really know what to think about this. I want to call freedom of speech and say that he was not doing anything wrong. On the other hand, his threats sound quite ridiculous and pretty hateful. I wouldn't be too pleased if I were the cops either. I mean, he's telling people to kill cops and saying how great it is at the same time. Yeah, I don't know what to think here.
I think I agree with Cons on this one. I can see how what he said could be considered a threat. Not "terrorist" in the way that we normally associate the word but it was a lot more than just saying things. For all we know he's actually killed a cop or wants to from how he portrays himself.

True, he may have, but chances are also good he's just got a big mouth. Typically the loudest of people who wave guns around and say ridiculous things are full of ****. The only way to find out would to be to check him out in unsolved police murders, but more than likely he's guilty of no more than being a moron. If someone really killed a cop would they be on youtube talking about how awesome it is to kill cops?

this guy is the same as those guys who play games like GTA and such. everyone's afraid they're going to go out and commit murder, when they're really just full of ****.

Judges often won't let people plead guilty when they're not (at least, in my experience). Who knows, though, I'm sure things work differently everywhere. More likely than not, he'll plead not guilty, cut a deal with the prosecutor, and get convicted of the least serious of the charges. That's just how the system tends to work. Now, the best thing to do, would probably be to try to get the ACLU to step in pro bono, and use their lawyers to fight the whole lot of charges.
I was thinking a scenario like this would be his only shot. The real problem he is going to have is getting someone to fight for his freedom of speech when the message is against the people who protect said lawyers community. So let's assume that no one steps up to the plate for him, can't afford a lawyer and goes with the public defender. If he pleads down I can see him getting the aggravated assault charge dropped maybe, but after that I'm not sure. It's really hard to say because I didn't see the video, but if he has children in the shot then the corruption of a minor charge will stick. I'm guessing the weapon was registered, borrowed, or not listed because there are very strict illegal weapons laws.
As far as him actually killing an officer or even having information about it, I'm positive this guy will be investigated in that regard. Especially with two of the last three deaths unsolved. Like Duke said, this was probably some loud mouth tough guy trying to be cool because he learned how to work a video camera. And since he figured out at least how to use the thing, it isn't unreasonable to assume he would know implicating yourself in a homicide on the internet is a bad idea.
On the other hand, let's say a real lawyer wants to make a name for himself on the free speech platform and takes the case. If the weapon was registered, there were no children present, and he didn't name anyone in his threat by name I could see him beating all those chargers. This guy doesn't seem to be smart enough to have that perfect storm of circumstances though.

Doesn't mean you don't have a constitutional right to. You have a constitutional right to say whatever you want despite how stupid it is and how other people feel about it, otherwise we could go ahead and shut down KKK rallies but we cant because their constitutionally protected. I'm with the this is some BS vote.
And he's got a constitutional right to get a lawyer and have his case heard in court.
I appreciate what you're saying and I don't disagree with it in principal. But here's my position: if you're **** enough to film yourself waving a gun and talking about shooting cops and attempting to incite others to shoot cops and then post that film in public then you pretty much got to take whatever asswhooping comes to you.
And you want me to even more honest? I were a cop I'd be the first one kicking down his door because I take threats seriously even though the other person may not be serious.
I don't agree with what the guy said on the video. I don't blame any of the cops for getting pissed at this idiot. But I don't see how any of those charges are gonna stick. He hasn't actually assaulted anyone or hurt anyone. I also don't see how they can get the "corruption of morals of a minor". No minor was directly involved in the incident and given all the other "corruption" of minors (as some would claim video games, movies, etc) his rant seems a bit out of place. I could see the harrassment charge sticking but the terrorist charge might be stretching it a bit.
He was expressing his feelings of joy about hearing cops getting killed. I didn't see anything of where he actually threatened to kill a police officer. Though it isn't "right", it is his right to state his feelings in any medium. I bet if he made a video claiming his joy of hearing Al Quaida or muslim fanatics getting shot or blowing themselves up, no one would care or he would even get praised.
Personally, I think this guy is an idiot and moron. I don't agree with what he did but I don't see how he is going to be prosecuted. It would take one hell of a DA and one idiot of a Defense Attorney.
Besides, wouldn't the video he made fall under the Fifth Amendment that protects against self incrimination? Plus, if he gets convicted, what kind of precedent will that set?
I'm sorry but we can argue free speech, but as I'm sure we've learned freedom of speech has some limits. This guy was way off with with common sense. I mean, rejoicing about police officers being killed, and talking about shooting cops.
The guy is stupid.

Once again, the Ku Klux Klan is protected under freedom of speech laws, they are allowed to rally in big cities and the police actually protect them from protesters. Why should this guy be any different?
