I'm actually really surprised by the sheer amount of backlash and intolerance happening in this thread. It's a goddamn sex toy, just an expensive one. It will not replace a human being except for maybe the 1% of genuinely ****ed up population that can afford it. Why is it a sudden indication that someone is a sick, strange, or incapable human being?

Speaking for myself, it's not the sex toy part of her that I have a problem with. As I've stated over and over. It's the fact that they are marketing her as more of a verbal companion, and it bothers me to think anyone would purchase Roxxxy for a stimulating conversation.

I have no problem what so ever with the $5,000 "Real Doll" sex toys they sell I mean I personally would spend 5k on something much more useful...but hey Im not the kinda guy that has 5k collecting dust in my sock drawer . Essentially those Real Dolls are just mannequins with squishy holes. But the whole "Companion" part that is emphasized with the Roxxxy doll... thats what freaks me out.

Its no longer just about getting a nut anymore with this toy. Its about establishing some sort of relationship with the thing. There is something seriously ****ed up about that IMO.

Call me crazy but - I think this is kind've cool. With games like Second LIfe where people "meet" eachother online, it's cool to see the next level in the physical realm. It definatly reminds me of Chobits, but anyway, I'm not sure why one would be a loser with this. Will I have one, no mainly because I don't have 7000 just to spend. If I had the money to spend would I get one? Sure, sounds fun.

I don't think the illegal sex trade will ever go away. There's already hookers-a-plenty and every kind of goddamn sex toy you could want or loving imagine, and they're so readily available you just type in "sex" at Google and you'll spend weeks sorting though which whale-shaped dong plug you want to accompany your sex pillow that has some anime little girl printed on it, but despite this, there's some guy right now, saving his money to go befoul some poor child in Thailand next month.

There's a show on National Geographic Channel called Taboo, and I saw a preview the other day for an episode about "Strange Love" and one of the stories on the show was about a guy who considers himself in love with and married to one of these sex dolls. I didn't get to see the actual show, but it sounds pretty messed up.
