Burger King's Super Seven Incher ad: Subtlety is dead | PopWatch Blog | EW.com It's not being run in the US, but it is being run overseas where the audience is apparently more ok with such advertising. Thoughts? |

I see nothing wrong with this ad.. xD
But seriously, I've been seeing commecials for things directly related to sex, and they are even a bit.. Raunchy. That one for the lotion for the woman? and the condom commercial? |

We should be careful not to judge European sensibilities by American standards. This type of ad isn't anything new or out of line for the Continent.
Would it work here? No way. But someday we'll get over our collective Victorian hangover. |

Using sex to sell a car, or beer even is probably more effective. But using sex to sell a burger is kind of dumb. Seeing something like that turns me off the burger. If they had don't something alot more subtle, it might have actually been funny. Instead, I think it's just dumb. I think BK should go back to it's actual funny ads.

I think the ad itself is just gross. Not because it's sexual, but because BK is using it's latest sandwich as a **** metaphor.

I just wonder what kind of backlash there'd be if Subway ever used a sub to look like a **** in order to sell to men. I wonder what would piss people off more: that or this?

I thought the ad was hilarious. It never occurred to me that it might become controversial, even without knowing it wasn't being run in America. It's not like her face is covered in mayo in that picture.

Children eat at Burger King so no it's not a good idea. People will never be alright with advertisements like this.
