Cute things children do

I was thinking about the cute little things my toddler does and I thought it would be nice to share stories of your children/your siblings/other kids who do/did cute things.

There was one particular cute thing I was thinking of that my daughter does but for the life of me I can seem to recall it now.

So to bring up at least one cute thing she does is whenever there are flies about, buzzing around me and I start waving my arms around to get rid of them she can't help but giggle at my "stupidity" in her eyes.

Bored out of my mind.

I have several in mind because I write them down on my "mommy book". Besides, we all think our kids are cute.

Quote:
1. The day I wanted my son to call me (for some reason he calls everyone their names but he won't say maman - which is our term for mom) I did a game with him to name people and items that I point out. The object of course is for him to eventually say maman when I point at myself. So after pointing at several objects....

I pointed at my husband. My son says,"papa!".

Then I pointed at myself. My son says, "cat".

Then I realized it was because my finger was pointing to the cat design on my shirt. Duh. So I placed my finger higher (on the spot where my shirt has no design).

Then my son says proudly......"T-shirt!"

- He was more than 2yo when he finally said maman. What a tease!

Quote:
2. One morning my son (he was 2 this time) and I watched cartoons where a little girl was crying looking her mom. My son wanted to console her (as he does in real life when he sees someone sad and crying), and he tried to tell the girl on the TV, "Don't cry, maman is here" (pointing at me).
- He must really think I'd have a calming effect on other kids (including animated ones) as I do with him.

PS: Isn't it curious how sometimes kids are cute when they do things as a kid (and we clap and show them we're pleased), but if they do the same when they're older it's far from cute (and we tell them not to do it)?

I just remembered one thing my daughter did the other day.
She was looking through the family photo album and then when she saw a photo of my mum and tried to pick her up from the picture, then she got frustrated she couldn't get her out.

Bored out of my mind.

Knyte and I were watching Ultimate Extreme Elimination Challenge the other night after putting kids in bed. A little while after we started it, in comes my 2 year old and after scowling back at his dad a couple times when he looked at him, he climbed up on the bed next to me and started laughing hysterically anytime one of the people fell in the mud. It was so funny Knyte and I had to stop laughing before we could go put him back in his bed.

Ahh I was babysitting last weekend, and I've been watching these kids for about 4-5 years now, but it was the first time I got the newer one who's about 11months old. The others are ages 9, 6, and 3ish...

and the littlest was crying, and I was making dinner, nothing would keep him quiet- then I gave him to emma- the oldest one to hold while I finished cooking over the stove-or at least til i could break; and finished- grabbed him, sat down on the couch and layed back a bit- had him in my lap- started singing and rubbing his back- less than 5 min later he fell asleep on my chest- it was the cutest thing everrrr!!

"Ohh! OOOhhh!!!-Oh and again! I made it. I know it. I can't see it but I know I made it. Oh my God I made it. Alright, don't give up. This is for everything. This is when I don't have to do it. This one right here is when I don't have to do it, which leaves nothing else but the one. No I don't think so. Not there. God I wish I could turn the volume-OH **** Aahhh son of a **** I talk too much. ****." - 00vega -
