$50,000 for five puppies? (clones)
Would you pay $50,000 to receive cloned puppies of your beloved (late) dog?
Sure it's like having your old dog alive again. It's also like spending $50,000 for a few dogs. Actually it IS spending $50,000 for a few dogs.
But don't worry, that's just the price for their first customer. Future customers will have to pay upwards of $150,000.
Puppies mark birth of commercial pet cloning - CNN.com
This South Korean company has successfully created the first commercial dog clones ever.
I would not do it. I wouldn't pay anything extra to have my dog cloned. I'll just try my luck with a new dog thank you very much.

No. What?
No.
Dude. Your dog was a product of its environment. The clones are gonna be different. I would give you 50$

That's sort of dumb. I'd definitely rather just get a new dog it'd be much more fun knowing that you have an actual dog rather than a clone.

This one right here is when I don't have to do it, which leaves nothing else but the one. No I don't think so. Not there. What a big waste of money. Sure it may look like you pet but it doesn't mean it will act like your pet. They only cloned the physical side of your beloved pet but not the personality. I just don't get it.
What's next clone Grand pa cause you miss him.

No, I would definitely not pay $50,000 or anywhere close to that. If I got a new dog I'd want a new dog, not a clone of my old one.

OK it may look like your lost pet, but to have the same personality and temperament it would have to go through every encounter in its life that your original pet went through. To me, the essence of the beloved pets we have lost have been the things we went through together the moments we shared together and the relationship we had built up over the years and i don't think that can be as easily replicated as just making a physical clone. Plus how about any illnesses your pet suffered, would they have to go through those again? what if those illness'e had caused the pets demise?
When we have lost a pet and then later had a new addition, we have never looked to " replace" our lost animal. To me that can never be done. they are all so different and we accept the newcomer and their little ways into the family. More often than not they are totally different to previous pets you have. If I had sort of money to frizzle away, I would rather give the money to an animal shelter or rehoming centre for them to make use of.
