de-clawing is also illegal in germany. GERMANY for god's sake.

yes it's cruel.

I dream of a world in which chickens can cross the road and no one questions their motives.

I think it is incredibly cruel and uncalled for.

How would you like it if someone decided you didn't need your fingernails and removed them?

I personally do not like it. Mine is not declawed. I feel that with all the scratching posts, tips and tricks, plus "soft claws", there's no reason for it. I admit i was worried about possibly having a cat with claws if I have a baby but again, soft claws, or just keeping the trimmed is good enough for me.

De-clawing is disgusting, evil and its also animal cruelty, it not just illegal in Germany it is illegal in most European countries including Britain. To de-claw a cat you have to amputate part of the foot, claws to cats are like toes to us. It is extremely traumatic for the cat and also very painful, the result of de-clawing is the cats inability to defend itself and quite severe back problems as the cats cannot walk properly without their claws. I don't know why America doesn't ban this practice but I have read somewhere that it is all about the money, apparently they have special deals in some vets practices, like get spayed get de-clawed half price or something like that? My friend bought two kittens and was going to get them de-clawed thankfully once I told him what it involves and how cruel it was he decided against it. More people need to be aware of this.

She do anything necessary for him and he do anything necessary for her so don't let the necessary occur
