Interesting Mutt/Mixed Dog Breeds

Dog breeds come about when different breeds mate and the AKC officially recognizes the puppies as a new breed. Otherwise they are simply known as mutts or cross breeds or mix breeds.

So what interesting mutts have you seen? If you have pictures then please share.

Some mutts have become so popular or easy to come by that they have names. They are not official breeds however.

One example I can think of off the top of my head is a "labradoodle" (Labrador & Poodle).

I know someone who has a labradoodle. I don't know why anyone would want anything to do with a poodle. They're terrible, hideous dogs.

Lab/husky mixes are cool.

I know somebody who has a labradoodle also. I don't really like it because it literally feels like a stuffed toy animal when you hold it. It weighs maybe 20 pounds and it looks like it should weight a lot more. (The fluffy fur is an optical illusion I guess)

It wouldn't be my first choice for a dog but the one I've seen has a good personality and enjoys life so more power to it.

I have three dogs.

Millie a pure bred Cocker Spaniel

Toto who is a Tibetan Spaniel x Pomeranian

Cassie who is a Labrador x Rhodesian Ridgeback. All beautiful natured dogs and all rescued from the pound when they were about to be put to sleep :(

I love boxer bulls. They're a mix between a boxer and a pit bull terrier. They tend to be very mellow dogs and I've never seen one with the negative dispositions that are attributed to both breeds.

I was going to bring up labradoodles too. I know some people that have one and I have to say I think it's an awesome dog. Really nice and playful, but still obedient and loyal.

I am not a fan of labradoodles... bleh.

That is a puggle.. A mix between a Beagle and a Pug... and I have never seen one that I actually thought was cute, but they have gotten popular.

I like these. Amstaff/ambull. A mix between an American Stafforshire Terrier and a Bull terrier. I was having a terrible time finding pictures of them today, but they almost always tend to have a circle around one eye, and I find that darling. Or they atleast tend to have neat patterns to them, just people worry about the temperment, but I guess it's all in how they are raised.

I love Puggles, I think they're adorable and they have great playful personalities.

I dream of a world in which chickens can cross the road and no one questions their motives.

That poor labradoodle is so ugly you can't help but feel sorry for it.
I wonder why they didn't stop after the first batch and try some new ingredients?
