The Humane Race: Success or Failure

So which is it? Are we a temporary success but a long-term disaster in the making? Or are we making viable progress that will, in the long run, prove to be a sustainable success?

I think that in the long-term scheme of things, we're not thinking of our future as much as we say we are. Inevitably we are setting ourselves up for a let down.

Neither... we are indeed a long-term success as God's children. Proof? See image which follows:

*sigh*

Hopefully this doesn't become a religion thread . . . AGAIN.

We have done a lot of great as a race, but we have a lot of shortcomings. We seperate and discriminate against each other, can't feed the needy, can't educate children efficiently, and constantly bicker about stupid and pointless things (like Hollywood).

I think we're going to blow eachother up. There's too much power among too many volatile groups, and it's pretty impossible to diffuse the power or solve the conflicts. That's assuming we don't run out of resources first. We may survive as a human race, but I think there's going to be a lot of changes when we begin to more seriously run out of our non-renewable resources. I think that in terms of being a successfully built creature with intelligence, the human race is a huge success, however, we've got attitude problems that will eventually destroy us.

I don't get it... it's a soldier carrying what might be the corpse of a child?

Apparently by saving children, we all win. The disturbing part is, due to cruel chance, there's a possibility that that kid grows up and becomes a killer/rapist/hippie/pedophile. How about that for a state of the human race?

I think the kid's dead... check the bloodstain under the soldier's hand. Very mixed image if that's the case... soldier appears distraught about dead kid: + morality... soldier probably was the one who killed the kid: - morality.

. . . and you still can't notice sarcasm! But eh, we all have flaws, some have more than others.

InTheNet, I don't necessarily disagree with you, but elaborate on what significance that picture is supposed to have?
