A simple question
Here's a small question for you all. "Are there bad people existing in this good world, making it corrupt, or is the world bad and is it slowly corrupting the people to be bad?" Me, I personally think that there are both good and bad people living in this world. And their decisions is what makes the future look either corrupt, or bright and luminous. In life, God did want everything to be perfect, but sin corrupted it all I'm up for opinions.

The world is not bad.
It's the ppl (not most) in the world that create the evilness.
God wants a perfect world, but he wants the ppl to come to the understanding by themselves and make it perfect.

I agree with Bordie, how can a world be bad?
People who do bad things are committing one of the seven deadly sins: Lust, Sloth, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath (Anger) and Pride. If you just have the willpower to overcome those and focus on the virtues: Chastity, Temperance, Charity, Diligent, Kindness, Patience and Humility then we can become better people. The "bad" people are lazy (Sloth) and rather take the simple path of doing bad things rather then man-ing up and taking the better path.

I'm considering the unitarian view (I'm not well-versed about it though). Basically it says, there is no "good", nor "bad" - they're just labels from a dichotomous point of view.

I'll agree to the point about ppl, but the world is an object and therefore terms of good and evil can't be placed on it.

I definitely think that there are bad people influencing the people to be bad by making what is bad look good. Though in turn the world is bad corrupting the people to be bad, culture has changed so much in the past 50 years, what is normal now was obscene like 30 years ago (just some things).

This one right here is when I don't have to do it, which leaves nothing else but the one. No I don't think so. Not there. Winter, have you ever read "The Power of Myth?" Incredible book based on an incredible interview with Bill Moyers.
Personally I tend towards the duality of nature, the soul, etc. I think there is good and evil in everyone.
I also subscribe to "Tabula Rasa," though. Was it from John Locke? Says that we're all born as empty slates with a fresh chance.

I like Augustine’s take on this mater “evil is a corrupted good“.
CHAPTER IV. The Problem of Evil
12. All of nature, therefore, is good, since the Creator of all nature is supremely good. But nature is not supremely and immutably good as is the Creator of it. Thus the good in created things can be diminished and augmented. For good to be diminished is evil; still, however much it is diminished, something must remain of its original nature as long as it exists at all.
Handbook on Faith, Hope, and Love | Christian Classics Ethereal Library
God did want everything to be perfect?
The God of the Christian sacred books, the bible declares that the creation is very good, not that it is perfect, perfect meaning lacking nothing in goodness only God fit’s the criteria, humans on the other have different degrees of goodness. Man can only ascent to perfection with God’s help, His Grace.

I don't really buy into all the good/evil stuff.
I think most people make choices on a regular basis that sometimes good and sometimes bad.
People aren't inheriantly evil, they just slip up from time to time.
Problem is some people just keep doing it over and over again.
