1. I'm a cancer (water)
2. Yes
3. No

...but that doesn't stop me from really enjoying astrology. Horoscopes never really work out for me, but the astrology bit in itself (personality-wise) is usually pretty accurate, i find. The only thing is that, as a cancer, i'm supposed to love kids (lol), and i'm not supposed to get along very well with fire elements (sagittarius, aries, leo), but i have many friends with those signs lol.

i think i might only really like it all though because i don't really know much about myself and astrology gives me something to work off of lol.

Yes
In my psych class last year my teacher told us at the end of the year that he had been doing a personal profile on 5 randomly selected people in the class. On the last day he handed out a profile to each person. He told them to read it and say if it was:

very accurate
accurate
inaccurate
very inaccurate

There were three very accurate and two accurate. The thing is he gave them all the same profile. It's called the Barnum Effect.

Barnum effect

The Barnum effect is the name given to a type of subjective validation in which a person finds personal meaning in statements that could apply to many people.
For example:
You have a need for other people to like and admire you, and yet you tend to be critical of yourself. While you have some personality weaknesses you are generally able to compensate for them. You have considerable unused capacity that you have not turned to your advantage. At times you have serious doubts whether you have made the right decision or done the right thing.
Sorry people

2. Well astronomy is fascinating imo. It's pretty amazing up there. But suggesting a relation between them and the course of our lives is silly I tells ya, silly!

I'd rather be led by a moth in a light bulb factory.

3. Never. They're too vague to strike a nerve. It's all coincidental at best.

"Aim for the moon. If you miss, you may hit a star." - What a crock of ****! Jokes, I like that unrelated quote.

I've just been reading my Astro Profile on Yahoo and it's pretty much on the dot, especially what it says about my dad being the latter parental influance. Spooky.

I'm a Sagittarius: Mutable Fire

It's always been very accurate. I get passionate about everything I do, but my passion is often extinguished by those that disagree with it. I'm always very eager for change and experimentation. I match my sign perfectly.

My horoscope is almost always correct. I can't recall a time when it hasn't been correct. I've had conflicts with several people today, and many tensions pulsing through the conversations I've had. Much as my horoscope predicted.

Personally I believe that astrology is a combination of the mind linking subtle ideas together within a situation, and a relative amount of prediction and intuition.

A List For Help:
Aries: Cardinal Fire
Taurus: Fixed Earth
Gemini: Mutable Air
Cancer: Cardinal Water
Leo: Fixed Fire
Virgo: Mutable Earth
Libra: Cardinal Air
Scorpio: Fixed Water
Sagittarius: Mutable Fire
Capricorn: Cardinal Earth
Aquarius: Fixed Air
Pisces: Mutable Water

I think that it's an interesting subject obviously it doesn't actually determine anything but it's still interesting to study the history behind it.

Aquarius
I like it

"Ohh! OOOhhh!!!-Oh and again! I made it. I know it. I can't see it but I know I made it. Oh my God I made it. Alright, don't give up. This is for everything. This is when I don't have to do it. This one right here is when I don't have to do it, which leaves nothing else but the one. No I don't think so. Not there. God I wish I could turn the volume-OH **** Aahhh son of a **** I talk too much. ****." - 00vega -

1. Cancer
2. I definatly don't believe in astrology.
3. It's been accurate because it's vague. Pretty much 90% of a horoscope is so vague that it could apply to anything in your day. As for the advice it gives, it's very general, fortune cookie-type advice.
