WWE should have brought this guy back before Batman came out

Seriously.

Every since Paul Burchill came out with his Pirate gimmick, I always thought it would be a great idea to create gimmicks pre-release of movies and TV shows. When I saw Paul Burchill as a Pirate, I was more interested in the WWE, the POTC movie and thought that made for a good idea.

Since Doink the Clown was already a gimmick, they should have brought him back for a few months and created a feud with him and another wrestler.

The Joker = Doink? Good for ratings? Entertainment?

Yes to all the above for me.

I saw Doink at the county fair a few years back (yes thats the circut he's in now, don't remember the name of it.) He's still doink. I had just gotten kicked out of the area where the wrestling was going on (I didn't know there was wrestling and I didn't realize I had to pay extra for it) so I went around to the other side of the arena to look through the gate where I found a hillbilly who pointed into the area where the wrestlers where warming up (kind of a big open garage looking area) and he pointed out Doink the clown, called out to him for an autograph, Doink just glared and said no.

If I was Doink the clown I'd be glad people remembered who I was.

LMAO! I lol'd.

It's true, alot of wrestlers are forgettable except the very popular ones that have been around a long, LONG time or the ones that people remembered 'cuz they were their favorite. Doink was one of my favorites, so, I thought I'll use him in a thread sooner or later.

Haha, I'm still laughing.

Aren't they on like the 3rd or 4th Doink now, I think a couple of the ones quit or died, can't remember but I am sure that the original Doink is a different guy than the one WWE has shown on TV the last few times they had him on.

They're doing the same thing with the McDonalds clown. I think they're on like the 14th Ronald McDonald (give or take).

That's actually a good idea, though. If WWE ever signed Doink again, and he ended up having a big ego, getting too old or being a bad wrestler, just replace him with another person. Who would be able to tell?! In fact, have two Doink the Clowns, one for wrestling and the other for mic skills.

Hey, I won't tell if you won't.

Doink the Clown - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Multiple people have played the role. I always say there are places for gimmicks such as this but in small doses.

Dude, surely you realize WWE doesn't care too much for talent. Just chuck the doink Clown costume on a 7 foot beast and you will have your next WWE champion.

If they used Eugene, anything is possible.

Haha, I like that idea, Atreyu. The Great Doink or Doink the Khali... or, Khoink, Doali? I would watch... :o

WWE will always have the gimmicky wrestlers, i think they should steer away from the Doink gimmick and try something a little more fresh but something at least a little entertaining like Hornswaggle was.
