Green Hill Zone was by far the hardest. :)

haha yeah I was just joking. Labyrinth was always the one I had the most trouble with. I thought StarLight was pretty easy and Scrap Brain was sometimes hard...I guess I just suck at the water ones.

For Sonic 1 it was definitely the Labyrinth, although Star Light Zone was tough as well.

For Sonic 2 the Oil level was hardest.

For Sonic and Knuckles, the hardest was probably the desert level... or the one after that when you are in the pyramid.

Star light zone wasn't really that bad at all except the boss was sort of annoying, it was seriously lacking in enemies which made it for the most part really easy.
