You can also emulate other systems on the Dream Cast including, Atari, Genesis, Nintendo and SNES.. not sure about MAME but i think I might have seen a port for that. You can also install Windows CE on it. But you can only legally emulate rom titles that you actually own.. please be aware of this.

There's actually a very good web site devoted to this, but I'm not sure if I can link to it. I do belive MAME can be emulated, though.

I'm not sure, but I think that the DC can also run a few ps2 games, the ps2 games that didn't run off a dvd. Not worth the trouble in my opinion

really? i've never heard of that before? sounds pretty cool but i'd imagine for some of the games that the controls would just be a bit akward.

Oh wait, did I say PS2? I meant Bleemcast, let you play PS1 games on the dreamcast, althouh legal issues limited the amount of games you could play. I don't know what is happening with the product now.

I gots it wrong, false alarm!

The House of the Dead 2. A really great game, especially with a light-gun. Though, ofcourse, if you've got an Xbox, you should just get House of the Dead 3, in which you can unlock the entire DC version of HotD 2 after beating the game.

Sony kept losing the appeals to Bleem!, but eventually Bleem! had to file for bankrupcy because they couldn't afford their attourneeys. Yay capitalism.

Bleem was a PSX emulator for the DC. you put the Bleem disc in and then switch it to a PSX game. the only game that i know of that worked with Bleem was Grand Turismo. it basically just made GT prettier by adding anti-aliasing i believe.

Bleem was also developed for the PC, but technical issues broke it down I believe. As computers are made up of millions of different possible configurations it was hard for them to emulate the PSone in a stable way on just anyones pc. Bleemcast was meant to change all that, as every Dreamcast has exactly the same hardware in them, it was much easier for Bleem to get the Dreamcast to PSone converter working. Except of course Sonys law men, which was much harder, seeing as the Dreamcast was a "rival console" or summat as silly as that.
