I suppose I prefer store store shopping. I only buy things online if it's a hard to find item and/or only sold online. Anime DVDs tend to be cheaper online if bought in mass quantities so I usually check it out if I am going to buy a ton of dvds.
I have made quite a few internet purchases this year with anime dvds and a few sports tees. However buying clothes online usually sucks it almost always sized to big or too small when I get it.
Personally, I rather get out of the house to shop.

If it's buying clothes I'd rather do it online. I absolutely hate shopping for clothes and it's just less aggravating for me to do it online. In addition I'm a pretty big guy (6' 4"/260 pounds) so shopping for clothes in stores is mainly a waste of time for me. It's a lot easier to do it online.
I'm really not much of a shopper, period. I'm one of those types that goes into a store, gets exactly what I came in for and get out as fast as I can. The only time I take my time in a store is if it's a bookstore. Now I can stay in one of those for hours.

I order from both about the same. I won't buy me clothes online, but I'll get the kids stuff. As far as everything else goes, it's all about where I can get it cheaper and sometimes faster.

I buy a lot of my hiking gear online since I can get free shipping and pick it up at the store. A lot of times the store just doesn't have the size/color I want but the website does. I buy all my hiking books online too, since it's impossible to find books about hiking in Utah or South Dakota in bookstores in the Chicago area. Almost everything else I buy in stores.

If I can't find it locally I'll go online to buy something but I hate paying for shipping and waiting a week to get anything.
I shop at stores when I can if at all possible.

Online most of the time because it involves alot less interaction with idiots bimbling about and getting in my way, plus no sales staff to try and sell you more crap you just don't want.

I prefer to use both. I find it is easier to find the things you want online and actually get them. I might go to a store everyday and the item I want may never show up. If I buy it online, it makes it quicker and easier. However, I find it is easier to deal with people in person than on the internet and you actually SEE the product before you buy it. If I have a problem with something, it is much easier to discuss it with a store owner than with an online store like Amazon.com. Plus, you get to SEE the item before hand (especially important if you buy from eBay).
