Cuil = the new Google?
Cuil

(pronounced "cool")

I saw the news talking about how Google might be overthrown as the king of search engines. It's called Cuil, and well, it's not bad. I like their homepage because it's black and easy on the eyes. The searching isn't bad either.

I don't really like the name Cuil, but I'll give it a shot for a week or so. Yup.

What do you guys think of this "Cuil" search engine?

google i think has that name brand association with it, like band-aids. If you need to search something you google it. Its practically a verb. Thats probably a plus on their side. So I don't really see an overthrow coming.

Cuil will fail for a few reasons.

1. The name is hard to spell if you hear it by word of mouth.

2. Their search results pages are a huge mess.

3. I can't see any benefit at all to using them as they are in no way superior to Google.

Eh. I took a look and the only thing I like about it is that its black.

Everything else is sub par.
There was a quote here, but the the person who SAID the quote and pretty much ASKED for it to be placed in my sig asked for it to be removed.

i bet it will be like facebook and shoot up randomly as the most popular search engine then google will file a lawsuit for something stupid saying you cant say google it because we're google and loose because google has now become the household term for searching on the internet
