TOP KNOCKOUT GONE FROM TNA
by Mike Johnson @ 10:33 PM on 8/20/2008

Gail Kim, who the entire TNA Knockouts division was initially built around and was the first Knockouts champion, is gone from TNA. I don't have details regarding the departure yet, but TNA did remove Kim from their roster and Knockouts sections this evening.

Kim, a former WWE Women's champion, had been with the company since October 2005, originally as a valet for Jeff Jarrett and America's Most Wanted. Kim graduated into the top babyface for the Knockouts division, including a really good feud against Awesome Kong.

In recent months, she had been among the top of the babyface Knockouts alongside ODB, Roxxi and current champion Taylor Wilde, but had not been portrayed as the top female in the division.
Kim is a must sign for the WWE. She's already a former Women's Champion. Bring her in.

I haven't watched TNA lately. Has she gotten better since her WWE days?

I liked her Matrix-like gimmick when she was in the WWE. If she returned, I would be happy.

She's as good as it gets IMO. Here's more information...

According to several WWE sources, former TNA Knockout Champion & WWE Women's Champion Gail Kim is returning to WWE. She was offered a rather sizable offer from WWE, which she accepted.

Kim's contract with TNA is coming up soon (it was announced that she signed a deal with TNA on September 6, 2005), so once it expires, she is free to start working in a WWE ring.

The decision to jump ship to WWE was said to completely be a financial one. Her decision to leave TNA had nothing to do with her being unhappy over how she was booked or presented on television.

TNA sources are saying that Kim has left the company on good terms, with one person saying, "the door is always open." There is no heat over her departure from TNA.

Kim's final TNA television appearance will be on tonight's edition of Impact as she will be facing Awesome Kong in a Street Fight.

w00t~ awesome. What do you think the WWE is going to do with her? What brand will she be on?

I have a feeling she might return to RAW, but having her on SD! to promote the new DiVa Championship might be good as well. I can even seeing her forming a stable with a few wrestlers... Oh, the possibilities.

I couldnt agree more...stick her on Smackdown to promote the new divas title. But we know how WWE is...she'll probably end up on raw haha
